Elizabeth Barash Murphy manages a big household, juggling a husband and four children between the ages of 11 and 20 years old. She chairs the Education Committee of the Ransom Everglades School Board of Trustees and previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Miami Children’s Chorus. Dedicated parishioners of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, the Murphys are devoted particularly to mission work at Our Little Roses, a home for abused and abandoned girls in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Betsy graduated from Harvard College and earned a Master’s degree in Communication/Journalism from Stanford University. Formerly, she worked in New York City for The Magazine ANTIQUES and was Editor-in-Chief of Triathlon Today magazine. Betsy practices Ashtanga Yoga and meditation. She enjoys travel, reading, photography, and spending time in Wyoming, her home away from home.
