Small Things

These days I find early morning

birdsong is something I cannot

live without nor the very large

iguana lounging on a white

concrete slab outside my

door night jasmine lingers

day after day rolling in the

wire all along our years I

love oranges glow tiger

bright cheerful color only

served two weeks apart and

blue skies such vibrance moves

dresses this same color of

Madonna filled with purity this

prison forces me into a state of

grace think how we are blessed

notice not day upon day we are

connected to you with such heart

small thing to be grateful
