VISIT A PRISON. mEET OUR sTUDENTS. ENGAGE in DIALOGUE.

Exchange for Change has partnered with the Frederick Douglass Project for Justice to bring their signature prison visitation program to South Florida prisons.  The Frederick Douglass Project for Justice seeks to change the public’s perception of the criminal justice system by becoming proximate with the humanity of incarcerated people.

Our host facilities are Everglades Correctional Institution (ECI) and Homestead Correctional Institution (HCI). ECI is located within a 30 minute drive from downtown Miami, and HCI is about 1 hour and 15 minutes south of the city center.

Participate in large and small group conversations with incarcerated adults that help us create meaningful dialogue and connection.

Visits have a maximum of 15 participants. Groups of 15 or less can sign up to do a group visit by contacting us at info@exchange-for-change.org.

Registration closes a week prior to the visit date. Visit dates are added monthly.

Our students look forward to welcoming you to their facilities through the Douglass Project!
