SHADOW PEOPLE

If Angels burn bright like fire,

Then demons are dark forms.

Historically pagan religions used drugs to pull back the veil.

Shadows form when something blocks the light.

When is it hard to see the moon?

When the world gets in the way.

As long as I stayed in the light, I was able to cast a large shadow.

Now in this unending darkness , no one will listen.

I let the world get in the way.

My imagination took me further than I wanted to say.

My crime cost me more than I would ever want to pay.

My sentence will keep me longer then anyone would want to stay.

I have become a blurred image, on the edge of their vision.

The conditions I left them in , kept them awake at night.

The more aggravated, the clearer they saw me as the cause.

Now they bask in the light.

Peaceful sleep eases tensions.

They no longer see me.

That's for the best.

I pray God to open their eyes.

There is an army of light, like fire surrounding them.

Chariots of fire protecting my family.

Far greater and more powerful than the enemy.

No Shadow People allowed.

Prayer let's them see Angels, drugs catch glimpses of Demons.

Please, stay in the light.

Explanation:

There is a story in the Bible, where the servant of Elisha gets up in the morning and the city is surrounded by the enemy's army.

He runs to the prophet and says, "What are we going to do?"

The prophet prays for God to open the servant's eyes, so he can see what the prophet sees.

The enemy were themselves surrounded by a army of light, like fire. The enemy was outnumbered by the army of God.

I have been in prison since 2009. I have come to meet people from every back ground imaginable, people from every corner of the globe. Unfortunately, most of those people have a substance abuse problem. Meth , Crank and Coke being the big three when I first came in. These drugs keep people awake, sometimes for days. The one thing all of them describe the same is Shadow People. Dark forms moving at the edge of their vision. The longer they stay awake and high, the more distinctly they can see these people.
