ALEXA KLEIN
DIRECTOR
Alexa Klein is a dynamic, creative, and bright lawyer who practices civil and criminal defense in state and federal courts. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and her JD from the University of Miami School of Law in 2017. At UM, she was involved in the HOPE Public Interest Resource Center and served as a HOPE Fellow during both law schools summers, first at the Miami Dade Public Defender’s Office and then at the Federal Defender’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. After law school, Alexa clerked for United States Magistrate Judge William Matthewman of the Southern District of Florida. She now practices at the Miami law firm Black Srebnick, defending the firm’s clients against a wide variety of criminal charges in state and federal court. Alexa joined the E4C board in 2025.
