SHARA KOBETZ PELZ
DIRECTOR
After completing her B.A. in history from The University of Texas in 1999, Shara Kobetz Pelz earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003. She began her career serving as an Assistant Public Defender for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. At the Office of the Public Defender, she managed a caseload of over one hundred clients and defended misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony trials. Shara is a Professor of Legal Writing at Miami Law. In addition to teaching Legal Communication and Research Skills to first-year law students, she is an Exchange for Change facilitator, teaching legal writing, analysis, and persuasion inside. Shara joined the E4C board in 2020.
