Hieroglyphics

i missed the world blink

saw everything i know

disappear in memories

held hostage by my hope

i caught cataracts to cloud

a foresight in a future of failure

hoping for colorblindness

after thoughts of the cost

for me to just

dye

because life's a female dog

she dogged me out

when i listened to love

then gave me her vision

to deal with gray areas

because everyone fades one day

leaving loneliness behind

to scratch figures on the walls

of a dark hallowed heart

like hieroglyphics

moments now memorials

so excuse me when i exhibit

urges of wanting to force

all the color out of my life
